What a Spectacular Summer We Have Had!!!!!

We started school this Monday, and I decided I wanted to write one final summer post before any more time slipped away.

Our summer has been fantastic.  Thankfully, we have spent most of the season at the pool- either for swim team or recreation.  We have also enjoyed meeting friends at playgrounds around town and playing!  The only crisis to date occurred at the library one morning- it involved Hope ripping a book, and more crying and screaming than that library has heard in a long time(and that only describes me!!!

We have included random photos of our adventures.  We have also included some very special pictures from this weekend.  We were able to meet the amazing woman that runs KidsCare Orphanage in Ethiopia.  That is the orphanage where Hope was brought when she was found last November.  This sweet woman, Aster, was in Nashville for two nights, and we were able to spend an evening with her.  What JOY!  There are a few pictures of Aster and Hope.  She spoke Amheric to Hope, and told us some treasured details about Hope's time in the orphanage!!!  Truly a blessing.  She told us this was her first time to see kids from the orphanage with their families in the states!!!  It was incredible for everyone!!!

Enjoy!

  3. I'm so glad you guys got to meet the lady from the orphanage and learn more about Hope's time there. I knew you were really wanting to when we were there. It almost doesn't seem real at this point that we were actually in Ethiopia this summer. Tell your sister I would a disc of the pictures she took. I know she got a lot more of the daily living conditions then we did. Can't wait to see you guys on the 4th. Eddie
